I wasn't going to tell my Mom about this, but I decided, a few weeks before going there, that I'd better let her know to make sure that she and dad were going to be home when I got there. She and dad met me at the appointed place, and we enjoyed each other company until it was time for me to return to work (and you know vacation time is always shorter than we'd like it to be).

While I was with Mom and Dad, we visited a great-aunt (maternal) where we saw pictures of my mother's maternal grandparents.
I would guess that (in the picture below) the girl in the top row on the left is my maternal grandmother when she was young.
