My first Invitation to spend a couple days in Busan

In January, 2010, a pharmacy student and I started chatting on line.  Soon after that he would go to Canada for awhile to attend English classes (many Koreans have done that).  He asked me if I would help him some.  I said I would do what I could.  He invited me to come to Busan, so that he could show me around.  Now, THAT was the kind of invitation I was hoping to get.

To set you mind at ease, NO we didn't sleep together.  NO we didn't do anything sexual together.

He got a kick out of using my camera, so I let him take some pictures with it.

Oh!  I forgot to mention this.  When he met me, he brought me a loaded transportation card so that riding the subway would not cost me anything.  What a kind gesture!

I forgot the Korean name of the meal we enjoyed, but you can see a picture of it below.  I do remember it being delicious.

Busan has a tower too.

While I was searching for a motel (there were LOTS of them near the beach area where we enjoyed some good food), he insisted on inspecting the room and checking the price of every one that I considered.  I guess we check about a dozen before he approved.  I went home and met up with me again on the next day.

While he was in Canada, we chatted and I helped him with his homework.  I knew that when he returned to Korea, he would be a busy pharmacy student again.  We lost touch, and I've not seen him again yet.  Nevertheless, he was quite a gracious host.
