Pohang and Geongju are that way!
Daegu and Dongdaegu are that way!
After ten stamps on the coupon card they gave me, the kind workers at Burnham Burgers gave me a free meal. They baked their own burger buns. They hand made each and every burger patty. They cooked each meal to order. One time, the gave me a free hot mocha because, due to reason I never found out, I waited so long to get it (not a normal occurrence).
Kraze Burger is another famous burger restaurant in Korea. Their decor and menu look almost the same as Burnham Burgers. "They must be owned by the same company" I thought many times.
I learned that more trains commuted from Yeongcheon to Dongdaegu station each day that from Yeongcheon to Daegu station. And, I learned that more transfers (to other trains) were available at Dongdaegu station. One day, I walked from one to the other. At a moderate pace, it too me one hour. There was no difference in fare for getting to one or the other from Yeongcheon, so sometimes although I bought a ticket for Dongdaegu station, I would stay on the train for another couple minutes and go on to Daegu station where I would be closer to the coffee shops and restaurants I enjoyed so much.
Pohang is only an hour away from Yeongcheon. When I went there for my first time on my own, my game plan was like when I went to Daegu: get there, walk around, and don't miss the last train going home.
One day, without a plan and on the spur of a moment, I decided to visit Busan. It was my first time on my own. Since it was my first time, I decided to stay only about half a day. Since it was so close to home, I could return on another day.
When I was finished walking around in Busan, I headed back to Daegu for a burger and some coffee and dessert.
